Role description

We are on the hunt for a senior research executive who can join our impressive research team, and help take us to the next level over time. We’re looking for someone who is passionate about market research, and who enjoys working across a variety of clients in the private and public sector.

Digital research is the new frontier – it’s fast-paced and ever-changing. As such, the candidate we are looking for isn’t someone who is caught up in tradition, but rather someone who is ready to tackle new challenges, to keep on their toes, and to think critically about how we do what we do.

Key responsibilities

As a member of the research & client management team, you will be working closely with our Head of Research where you will be responsible for:

Client relationship development – growth of existing client relationships and identification of new research opportunities.
Client engagement – understanding clients’ business and research objectives, managing client expectations, compiling proposals & presentations.
Research design – designing the research approach that will best address the clients’ key objectives.
Full research process – running the internal research process from start to finish: From research design, to selecting appropriate suppliers, through to scripting, sample management, job cards, briefing the analysts, compiling the final client presentations, identifying key insights and presenting results to clients.
Innovation – opportunity for a creative contribution to innovation within the business strategy and the product offering, based on client feedback and sales requirements.

We are looking for someone who…

  • Has completed a tertiary qualification such as B.Com or B Bus Science
  • Has a minimum of 2-3 years ad hoc quantitative marketing research experience
  • Is great with numbers
  • Is confident to advise on research design, including writing proposals, project management and the generation of insights and recommendations to client
  • Is excellent at managing multiple projects and client accounts
  • Has a client-focused approach
  • Is meticulous
  • Will work fast – very fast
  • Is excited by new technologies
  • Is intrigued by human behaviour
  • Based in Stellenbosch
  • Is energetic and good at working under pressure
  • Enjoys variety and challenge
  • Is proactive
  • And enjoys a good laugh.

Requirements

  • 1-2+ years’ quantitative research experience preferable
  • Good with numbers
  • Fast learner
  • Meticulous
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with people on all levels
  • Able to think analytically and to compile proposals and presentations
  • Able to get involved in establishing working client relationships
  • Energetic and must have a passion for research / marketing / the human condition / new technologies
  • Is excellent at managing multiple tasks and prioritising work
  • Self-motivated and results driven
  • Based in Stellenbosch
