12 May 2015
May is going to be a banner month for Pondering Panda.
You might catch our CEO Diane Gantz taking SAMRA by storm, or our Brand & Marketing Strategist Johan van der Merwe at the Market Research in a Mobile World (MRMW) conference in New York to showcase African insights.
And when watching TV in the days ahead, see if you can spot the Panda on DSTV in our TV ad showcasing our WeChat partnership. This is the first time that Pondering Panda will feature on the small screen. As you can imagine, there is much excitement in the Panda den.
Diane Gantz @ SAMRA
Diane will be presenting a paper entitled ‘Sampling – The Acid Test’, a fascinating look into what we’ve learned about new sampling practices in the world of digital research, and why traditional sampling approaches just don’t cut it any more.
Using case studies based on data we’ve gathered over the last year, her paper will focus on sampling in today’s technology-driven world. It will directly address many of the challenges clients and researchers are currently experiencing with sampling designs, and spark some much-needed discussion.
If you can’t be there, we’ll be making insights from the paper available via our website after the conference, and we’ll be taking it on the road to help you commission more valid and reliable research.
Johan van der Merwe @ MRMW
Market Research in a Mobile World (MRMW) North America is the premier global conference on mobile research – so of course you’ll find the Panda there, mingling with the brightest minds in the research industry and absorbing amazing new ideas.
Our Brand and Marketing Strategist, Johan van der Merwe, will be taking the stage on the second day of the conference to present ‘3 trends that are shaping the future of mobile research in Africa’, a distillation of everything we’ve learned and observed over the last year conducting mobile research in Africa.
His paper will also be available on our website after the conference as a new blog post – and make sure you follow @pandainsights for live tweeting from the event.
The Panda on DSTV
April saw us launch our new partnership with social messaging juggernaut WeChat, and May will see us take the marketing of our new WeChat Official Account to new heights with our very first TVC. It will showcase the app, and tell people how to follow Pondering Panda to share their opinion, and discover what other people think.
That’s it for now. It’s a wonderfully busy month, so we’d better get back to it…
